FMCG major CavinKare is eyeing a double digit market share in the country and has planned to focus on 'non-southern markets' in the 2010-11 fiscal, a senior company official said here today.
To consolidate its presence in the country, the city-headquartered company today launched an upgraded version of their popular facial cream 'Fairever' with natural ingredients.
"With this new product we are aiming to reach double digit marketshare this year," CavinKare India Executive Director Ramesh Viswanathan told reporters here.
"Our goal is to reach 10 per cent market share this year and to focus on non-southern markets," he said.
The company currently has a market share of 7 per cent nationwide and ranks second after Hindustan Unilever's cream 'Fair and Lovely', Viswanathan said.
Responding to a query, Viswanathan said that in Southern region they were aiming to have 25 per cent market share (from 20 per cent) in this year.

He added that the firm had earmarked Rs 10 crore for branding the new product.
"To make this product visible, we are looking at a strong investment in excess of over Rs 10 crore for this year," he said.
