Leading tyre manufacturer, CEAT Limited, has clocked a net profit of Rs 60.2 crore in Q1FY10.
Its net sales stood at Rs 674 crore, a press release issued here today said.
Its operating profit before tax to net sales ratio of 13.5 per cent in the first quarter is the highest in the industry for this quarter, the release said.
The company's EBITDA of 16.3 per cent is again the industry-best for this quarter, it claimed.
CEAT's Managing Director Paras K Chowdhary said: "CEAT has profitability-based business model which is reflected in our Q1 results. We have improved our operational efficiencies, product mix and aggressively increased our replacement market-share."
