Hyderabad-based Celon Laboratories Limited today said the Phase I of its Rs 120 crore manufacturing facility coming up here had been completed.
The 11-acre unit is coming up at Kolthur village in the Genome Valley.
“We are yet to start the second phase of the unit and hope to complete the project in the next 18 months,” KV Ravinder, founder of Celon Labs, said.
The bio-pharmaceutical company has already registered 114 products, which have been launched in 17 markets. “Another 18 products are in the process of getting registered and 321 product files are under filing,” Ravinder said.
Celon Lab, which had raised Rs 70 crore from Sequoia Capital, has charted an aggressive growth plan in the international market by establishing local entities in south and central America, Asia-Pacific, Africa and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent State) countries.
Using in-house R&D and manufacturing capabilities, Celon Labs is focused on providing innovative formulations that offer quality and affordability to patients, a release said. The company registered revenues of Rs 100 crore last year. It has operations across 40 countries.
