CESC today reported a 22% increase in net profit at Rs 179 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 147 crore in FY05.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 2,579 crore in FY06 from Rs 2,387 crore in FY05.The company posted a net profit of Rs 44 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2006 when compared with Rs 39 crore in Q4FY05. Total income increased to Rs 605 crore in Q4FY06 from Rs 582 crore in Q4FY05.
