Survey also revealed Chandigarh inhabitants to be the highest spenders in the household products category such as bed-sheets, dinner sets, mop and saris. It was also revealed that Chandigarh is the largest market for purchasing mobiles across India.
Basically the survey was done to understand the effects of economic slowdown, increasing prices, rupee depreciation on the home shopping market in India.

The survey was conducted in Star CJ’s markets across Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Bangalore, Ludhiana, Surat, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Vadodara, Amritsar, Faridabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Jaipur, Chennai, Nagpur and Nashik.
The survey gives an overview of the popularity of home shopping among Indians and their spending patterns basis the current economic conditions of the country.
