The Chennai Angels (TCA) on Thursday announced an investment in Betaout, which is an e-commerce & B2C marketing software platform.

Betaout allows e-commerce companies to build user intelligence databases and provides tools to engage with users through email, on-site engagement, mobile push, live-chat, SMS, and through other channels.

Betaout's business model, positioning in the e-commerce market, existing client base and most importantly the management team were the primary investment drivers.

The TCA investors felt that e-commerce companies would increasingly look for key differentiators that can reduce customer acquisition or retention costs. Betaout's customer analytics tools that can help customer segmentation and focused outreach can translate into a tangible value proposition.

"As investors, we are very positive on our outlook for the company", said Shobana Anand who lead the investment of TCA.
