Chennai Petro Q4 net down to Rs 218 crore

Chennai Petroleum Corporation recorded a net profit of Rs 217.6 crore in the fourth quarter of 2004-05, down by 1.2 per cent in relation to the net profit of Rs 220.4 crore seen in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The board has recommended a dividend of 120 per cent on equity shares (face value Rs 10) for 2004-05.

The total income in the fourth quarter of 2004-05 was Rs 4,409.4 crore, higher by 63.5 per cent in relation to the previous year's total income of Rs 2,696.8 crore.

In 2004-05, Chennai Petroleum recorded a net profit of Rs 596.9 crore, higher by 49.20 per cent in relation to the previous year's net profit of Rs 400.05 crore.

The total income for 2004-05 was Rs 14,289.5 crore, up by 62.94 per cent over the earlier year's total income of Rs 8,769.4 crore.
