Chhipa Prints unveils expansion plans

Rajasthan-based Chhipa Prints n Crafts Pvt Ltd is on an expansion spree. The company, which has two outlets in Jaipur and two in Delhi, is planning to open 3-4 more outlets in Jaipur soon.
 
"We are planning to go in for an expansion and we are all set to open more retail outlets in Jaipur as well as in other places like Noida and Mumbai," Yogesh Chandra of Chhipa Prints n Crafts Pvt said.
 
Yogesh said that the demand for hand block printed fabrics is on the rise both in Indian markets as well as abroad and looking at this, the company was planning the expansion in a big way. "We are planning to increase our turnover from around Rs 4 crore to about Rs 15 crore in the next 2-3 years," he said.
 
"It is our endeavour to popularise the art, which was once patronised by the royal family of Jaipur," he added.
 
He said the company was one of the pioneers in block printings in Rajasthan. "We are into this business for the last 50 years", Yogesh said.
 
Rajasthan is among the richest states in the country as far as the field of arts and crafts is concerned. Lifestyle of people have sharpened the creative senses, artistic skills and inspired them to create the most opulent and richest of treasures. Pioneers in this trade, Atal Bihari and Yogesh Chandra's family has been in the business for the last over 5 decades.
 
He said that the clothes manufactured by them are skin friendly as the colours and dyes used by them are natural and are made by turmeric, vegetables etc.
 
"As far as designs are concerned we have got our in house research and development and designing centre", he said adding that the company buys clothes for dying and printing mainly from Tripur and Bhiwandi Yogesh said that the company sells variety of dresses, however sarees, quilts, skirts, tops, funky belts, shirts are the most popular of the products being manufactured by it.
