City may get another 5-star hotel

The Prestige Estate Project Pvt Ltd on Saturday announced a slew of projects for Bangalore city including a five-star hotel. The builder announced the upcoming projects at the inauguration of the St John's Wood, a residential project, in Bangalore.

The projects announced includes a retail park -- Forum Retail Park. The project is set to come up in Whitefield. The group also announced the launch of Prestige Feroze on Cunningham Road, Prestige Abshot on Sankey road, the Prestige Benson Court at Benson Town, Prestige Sunflower in Whitefield, Prestige Alpha on Hosur Road and an addition to the Angsana Oasis Spa and Resort.

In addition to this, the group also expressed its intention to launch a project for an integrated township in north Bangalore without giving any further details of the plan. The massive project, which is expected to come up on 3,000 acres, is awaiting land acquisition and the government nod, according to the group.

The group also plans to make its foray into hotels. "The group is set to launch a five-star hotel project in a joint venture with the Hilton Group," said Irfan Razack, managing director, Prestige Estates.

The group has also set its eyes on Hyderabad and Chennai for expansion.
