Private sector lender City Union Bank today reported a 41.94% jump in its net profit at Rs 57.70 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2010, over the same period a year ago.
It had a net profit of Rs 40.65 crore during the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal, City Union Bank said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The lender also reported a growth of 25.38% in its total income during the third quarter at Rs 349.29 crore as against Rs 278.58 crore in the year-ago period.
City Union Bank's net non-performing assets (NPAs) stood at 0.53% at the end of the third quarter as against 1.09% in the same quarter of 2009-10.
Its gross NPAs also fell to 1.28% during the December quarter from 1.99% in the third quarter of the previous fiscal.
