Aditya Sushil Kumar Handa, one of the promoters of Claris Lifesciences, today sold over 17.33 lakh shares of the drug company for Rs 28 crore through open market transactions.
According to bulk deal data available with the stock exchanges, Handa offloaded 17,33,204 shares (amounting to 2.71% stake) of Claris Lifesciences.
The shares were sold at a price of Rs 162.05 apiece, valuing the deal at Rs 28 crore.
Meanwhile, private equity firm Signet Healthcare Partners QP Partnership III LP acquired 14,05,050 shares of Claris Lifesciences for Rs 162 a share. This takes the total deal size to Rs 22.76 crore.
As of June quarter, Handa held 10.50% stake in the drug firm.
Defying the weakness in the broader market, shares of Claris Lifesciences closed 2.06% higher at Rs 178.50.
