With this acquisition, the company claimed that Clay Craft India has become India’s leading manufacturer and retailer of fine bone china and ceramic tableware.
Clay Craft India’s acquisition of JCPL’s brand will see a parallel branding of both JCPL and its own products in the market, the statement said.

The statement further said that the move is expected to increase the former’s distributor and retailer network.
Speaking on the acquisition, Padam Narian Agarwal, managing director, Clay Craft India, says, “We are happy to announce the acquisition of JCPL brand which is still having its footmarks and a vast network across India. Clay Craft group will run Jaipur Ceramic brand parallel to its existing brands.”
Agarwal further said, “The supply of the additional market demand will be satisfied by Clay Craft India’s existing facility initially. To satisfy additional demand under JCPL brand, the group has also planned to set up one plant at an investment of Rs 100 crore by the end of the year. JCPL’s global network will help us to bring global distributorship expertise and we will utilise it to increase our presence in global markets.”
The Indian Ceramic and Bone China Industry has been growing and has become the largest suppliers of bone-china articles in Europe replacing large industries, which have been the manufacturers of bone-china for more than 300 years.
In the face of stiff global competition and emerging trends, the ceramic and glass industry in India has been growing at 25 per cent.
Agarwal further said, “This move will prove to be beneficial as Clay Craft India’s brand will have an added shelf space in retail market giving a boost to the business. This will also add new varieties into our product portfolio.”
