Clutch Auto has been selected by Fleet Pride, a heavy-duty class parts distributor in the US, for supply of clutch requirements of Class 7 & 8 trucks for North America.According to a release issued by Clutch Auto to the BSE today, Fleet Pride is a premier truck and trailor parts distributor with a network of 165 delivery outlets and five nationwide warehouses. "The order from Fleet is expected to result in an annual offtake of $60 million in the next five years," the release added.As part of the long-term strategy to be an international niche player in the heavy duty clutch segment, the company has developed a clutch for every Class 7 & 8 truck used in the US market. "Clutch is the only offshore company to have entered the field as a serious player with a patent for a low-pedal clutch - Pivot Point Release Load Adjuster Assembly - for use in a pull type, angle spring clutch pressure plate assembly - registered under the Trademark 'EZ N Lite' with United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO)."The company has already filed for five more patents in the US market," the release added.The products have been extensively field tested by Fleet Pride over the last two years. "Fleet Pride has placed the first trial order for 1,226 clutches worth $3,50,000," the release added.
