Container Corporation of India Ltd (Concor) has reported a 24.87 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 127.88 crore during the quarter-ended March 2005. Its income from operations rose 16.1 per cent to Rs 546.37 crore.
 
For the year-ended March 2005, Concor's net profit rose 19.58 per cent to Rs 439.58 crore. Income from operations rose 13.18 per cent to Rs 1,996.96 crore during the period.
 
Gillette India Q1 net dips 14%
 
Gillette India Ltd has recorded a 14 per cent dip in its net profit at Rs 16.87 core during its first quarter ended March 31, 2005. Its sales went up seven per cent to Rs 111.3 crore (Rs 104.5 crore).
 
Gillette attributed the fall in net profit to the increased advertising and marketing spend during Q1. The company spent Rs 12.87 crore on advertising compared with 7.17 crore in Q1 last fiscal.
 
Honeywell Q1 net down 25%
 
Industrial control solutions provider Honeywell Automation has reported a 25 per cent dip in net profit at Rs 9.3 crore in the first quarter ended March 31, 2005 against 12.4 crore in the year-ago period.
 
However, the company reported an about 10 per cent rise in sales at Rs 138 crore for the quarter ended March 2005 against Rs 126 crore in the previous year period, a company release said.
