“The plant has undergone commissioning activity on March 23 and we have started production,” CIL managing director, Kapil Mehan, stated in a release.
According to Mehan, the new plant is capable of manufacturing all grades of complex fertilisers and would strengthen its position in the phosphate fertiliser segment.

A company spokesperson said the plant, with a capacity of 425,000 tonnes per annum, was set up at a cost of Rs 350 crore.
