Coromandel International, the manufacturer of a wide range of fertilisers and plant protection products, today said its consolidated net profit rose by 3.37 per cent to Rs 187.16 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2009.
Net sales, however, declined to Rs 16.85 crore in the latest quarter, compared to Rs 33.91 crore in the same period last fiscal, Coromandel International said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
On standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 187.86 crore, up 2.98 per cent from Rs 182.41 crore in the same period corresponding fiscal.
Shares of Coromandel International were trading at Rs 220.75 on the BSE, up 0.71 per cent from its previous close.
