Business conglomerate Godrej Industries Ltd on Tuesday reported an 81 per cent increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 322.49 crore for the April-June quarter of 2024, on higher income.
Its net profit stood at Rs 178.06 crore in the year-ago period.
Total income increased to Rs 5,259.41 crore in the April-June period of 2024-25 fiscal, from Rs 4,893.40 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing.

On business performance of its subsidiaries, joint ventures and associate companies, Godrej Industries said the consolidated sales of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL) stood at Rs 3,311 crore in the first quarter of this fiscal.
Godrej Properties' total Income grew to Rs 1,638 crore in April-June period of this fiscal, from Rs 1,315 crore in the year-ago period.

Patel Engineering Ltd on Tuesday reported a 25.81 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit to Rs 48.17 crore in the April-June quarter of 2024.
It had posted a Rs 38.29 crore net profit from operations during the year-ago period, the company said in an exchange filing.
The company's revenue from operations declined by 1.52 per cent to Rs 1,101.66 crore in the June quarter.
It was at Rs 1,118.61 crore in the year-ago period.

Ola Electric on Tuesday said it registered 23,430 units in March this year, as per the VAHAN portal, reflecting strong demand across urban and rural markets.
The shift to in-house vehicle registrations in February led to temporary disruptions. While the transition continues, daily registration volumes and backlog clearance are steadily improving, the company said in a statement.
"We have nearly cleared the February backlog and expect to complete the remaining February-March registrations in April 2025," it said, adding the company is scaling up its registration operations and actively coordinating with all external stakeholders to support the exercise.

City-based cinema chain Cineline India Ltd will focus on expanding its core film exhibition business after becoming net debt-free following the monetisation of its hotel asset in a Rs 270-crore deal, according to a top company official.
The company has entered into a deal with Sparsh Vidhyut to sell its hotel 'Hyatt Centric' in Goa for an enterprise value of Rs 270 crore, and it will use the proceeds to retire its entire debt, Cineline India CEO Ashish Kanakia said.
The hotel asset was owned by Mumbai-based Cineline India's wholly-owned arm R&H Spaces Private Ltd.
Kanakia said that the deal has resulted in debt reduction of Rs 120 crore pertaining to the hotel asset at the subsidiary level and the company also plans to utilise the sale proceeds to fully repay its outstanding debt of Rs 108 crore related to the film exhibition business, achieving a debt-free status.

Mid-size motorcycle maker Royal Enfield on Tuesday reported a 34 per cent jump in total sales at 1,01,021 units in March, as compared to 75,551 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales were at 88,050 units last month, as against 66,044 units in March 2024, up 33 per cent, Royal Enfield said in a statement.
Exports grew by 36 per cent at 12,971 units, as compared to 9,507 units in the year-ago month.
In the fiscal 2024-25, the company said it posted its highest-ever annual sales crossing the 10 lakh units mark.
The company's total sales in FY25 was at 10,09,900 units, as against 9,12,732 units in FY24, up 11 per cent, it said.
Domestic sales in FY25 was at 9,02,757 units, as against 8,34,795 units in FY24, a growth of 8 per cent.
Exports grew by 37 per cent at 1,07,143 units in FY25, from 77,937 units in FY24, the company said.

Godrej Properties Ltd has sold 275 homes for more than Rs 2,000 crore in its new housing project at Noida in Uttar Pradesh.
In a regulatory filing on Tuesday, the company informed that it had launched a luxury project 'Godrej Riverine' in Sector 44, Noida, last month.
