The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate on Monday postponed the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) petition to record the statements of five prime accused in the Satyam scam – its founder-chairman B Ramalinga Raju, his brother and former managing director B Rama Raju, former chief financial officer Srinivas Vadlamani, and the two Price Waterhouse auditors Gopalakrishnan and Srinivas Talluri – to April 20.

The ED on April 6 registered a case against the five, stating that it had prima facie evidence that the Raju brothers and the accused have violated the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

While the hearing on the Central Bureau of Investigation's (CBI) petition to subject the Raju brothers and the former CFO to lie-detector tests was deferred to April 20, the bail petition of accused number eight and nine – Danthuluri Venkatapati Raju (senior manager) and Srisailam Chetkuru (assistant manager) of Satyam’s finance department, who were arrested on April 6 – was postponed to April 15.
