Justice KC Bhanu of the Andhra Pradesh High Court today dismissed the application moved by Satyam founder B Ramalinga Raju and others against their entrustment to the Central Board of Investigation (CBI).
The court observed that there was nothing wrong in the order passed by the XIV additional chief metropolitan magistrate, the designated court of CBI cases. There is a need for custodial examination when there is a change in the investigating agency, the court said.
Ramalinga Raju, his brother B Rama Raju, former chief financial officer Srinivas Vadlamani and Price Waterhouse auditors S Goplakrishnan and Srinivas Talluri are in CBI custody till March 17.
