The first quarter of last fiscal reported a profit of Rs 323.15 crore, a CPCL press release here said.
Net sales also rose to Rs.11,253.20 crore against Rs 6221.70 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year.
The company's total income grew from Rs 6302.18 crore in the corresponding quarter last year to Rs 11,263.33 crore in the current fiscal.
For the year ended 31 March, 2008 the company registered a total income of Rs 28.147.07 crore, the statement added.
