oposed business activities.  State Bank of India, Indian Bank, Small Industries Development Bank of India, Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation and National Small Industries Corporation set up stalls at the Credit Bazaar, which provided an opportunity for the entrepreneurs in the tiny and small scale sectors to interact with the officials for credit facilities.  Entrepreneurs who participated in the bazaar were from Guindy, Perungudi, Porur, Ekkaduthangal and Maduvangarai. Six proposals, which were submitted two days back, were cleared at the event.  K Gopalakrishnan, president, Industrial Estate Manufacturers' Association, Guindy (IEMA), told Business Standard that most of the firms in the small and tiny sectors didn't have the proper access to banks for their financial requirements and their problems. 'Credit Bazaar' was organised with an objective to address these problems. Besides this, banks would realise the aspirations of the small scale and tiny sectors.  He said that the event would also highlight some of the support measures like availing credit facility up to Rs 25 lakh without providing any collateral announced by RBI for the benefit of small scale sector.  He also said that the association would also do the follow-up work for the 300 applications with various funding institutions to help the entrepreneurs get their loans. Enthused by the response to the event, IEMA is planning to conduct the event every year.
