Electrical equipment maker Crompton Greaves Ltd (CGL) today said its consolidated net profit declined 17.97% to Rs 251.43 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, over Q4 of last fiscal.
However, the company's net sales increased to Rs 2,908.03 crore in Q4, compared to Rs 2,507.89 crore in 2009-10, CGL said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
For the entire fiscal, the company posted net profit of Rs 888.67 crore, compared to Rs 859.87 crore in 2009-10.
CGL's net sales rose to Rs 10,005.11 crore for the year ended March 31, compared to Rs 9,140.87 crore in the previous fiscal.
Shares of Crompton Greaves today closed at Rs 280.20 on BSE, down 0.62% from its previous close.
The Board of Crompton Greaves announced the retirement of Sudhir Mohan Trehan and announced the appointment of Laurent Demortier as MD designate.
