A Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) team visited on Friday the office of oil regulator V K Sibal to inspect papers on allegations of favouring Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Industries (RIL).
Director General of Hydrocarbons Sibal, who is facing allegations of receiving favours from RIL in exchange of approving inflated gas field costs, said — contrary to reports that CBI had visited his office — it was a CVC team which had come to his Noida-office.
"I met CVC Secretary K S Ramasubban (earlier this week). He said he wanted to send two technical teams and I said you are most welcome," he said.
