Dalmia Cem net profit at Rs 81 crore

Dalmia Cement Bharat has posted a net profit increase of 62.77 per cent at Rs 81.84 crore for the quarter ended June 30 compared with Rs 50.28 crore in the corresponding previous quarter. The company's net sales grew to Rs 348.16 crore during the period from Rs 207.74 crore, up 67.59 per cent.

Improved sales and better realisation helped the company record robust quarterly results. The company increased its capacity from 1.5 million tonnes per annum to 3.5 million tonnes this year.

The company's operating profit during the period was Rs 143.23 crore compared with Rs 86.31 crore last year.

Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at Rs 19.15 against Rs 12.1 last year.
