DB Corp Q2 net up 25.13% at Rs 55 cr

Media company DB Corp today posted a 25.13 per cent increase in its net consolidated profit at Rs 55.07 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2010.

This is against a net profit of Rs 44.01 crore in the same period last year, DB Corp said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

Total income stood at Rs 300.9 crore for the September quarter as against Rs 262.2 crore in the same quarter last fiscal, up 14.75 per cent.

The advertising revenues grew by 18.3 per cent to Rs 227.3 crore, while circulation revenue for Q2 FY11 increased to Rs 53.2 crore, it said.

"This has been a quarter of steady development and sustained progress. We focussed on organic expansions and defined execution in several key regions," DB Corp Managing Director Sudhir Agarwal said.

DB Corp, which has 17.2 million readers across India, has publications like Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar, Saurashtra Samachar and Business Bhaskar.
