DCM plans Rs 25 cr expansion

Firm aims at meeting stringent customer norms, reduce costs and wastage

As part of the company's expansion plans, the board of directors of DCM Engineering Ltd has approved a project for increasing the firm's capacity to 65,000 Mt per annum, with an investment of approximately Rs 25 crore.
 
"The plan lays emphasis not only on getting the latest state-of-the-art machines, but also a software that will help DCM Engineering Ltd work more closely with customers for providing better service and developing new products," a source in the company revealed.
 
"The project will be completed by the end of September this year, and will be further augmented to 75,000 Mt by implementing new techniques through the next fiscal," he said, adding that the company aimed to meet the most stringent customer requirements, in terms of quality, cost and delivery, even while bringing down costs and wastage.
 
"The company is confident of fully utilising the expanded capacity as soon as it becomes available. This has been done after a careful scientific study of the market and the firm as well. In order to increase its repertoire and offer customers more value under one roof, the firm has already begun developing some new products," the source added.
 
DCM Engineering Ltd is working on a project that will not only add value to the product, but also to customers, he siad.
