Deep Industries bags Rs 72 cr contract from ONGC

Diversified oil and gas firm Deep Industries today said it has bagged two contracts worth Rs 72 crore from sate-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) for hiring natural gas compressors to the company.

The company has obtained the letter of awards from ONGC for hiring the compressors services for natural gas compression aggregating to Rs 72.05 crore, Deep Industries said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

ONGC has awarded the contracts for its two sites -- Assam and Rajahmundry.

Further, the company has also extended a contract worth Rs 4.43 crore with Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals (GACL) for hiring the service, it added.

Shares of Deep Industries surged 5 per cent and hit its upper trading limit of Rs 127.65 on the BSE.
