Chemicals production and services provider Deepak Nitrite posted a 67.95 per cent dip in its net profit to Rs 4.3 crore during the fourth quarter of the financial year 2008-09 as against net profit of Rs 13.42 reported over the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.
The company revenues grew to Rs 151.28 crore during the January-March quarter, which reflects a jump of 3.58 per cent over Rs 146.05 crore posted over the same period last year, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
On annual grounds, the company profits increased to Rs 28.28 crore during the 2008-09 fiscal, which is a rise of 304 per cent over the profit of Rs 7 crore posted in year 2007-08. The revenues also increased to Rs 583 crore during the year, up 23.51 per cent over Rs 472 crore registered during the previous year, the statement said.
