Defiance Tech Private Limited, the IT and engineering services arm of the Hinduja group, has partnered Europe-based management consultancy firm Lodestone Management Consultants to deliver consulting and IP-led ERP services.
The company aims to expand geographically into European countries as well as new markets like West Asia and Asia Pacific through the partnership, according to Subu D Subramanian, chief executive officer of Defiance. The one-year agreement between the companies will be extended if required, he added.
The Hinduja group had acquired US-based Defiance for $17 million (around Rs 85 crore) in 2007.
The global ERP (enterprise resource planning) market is estimated at around $40 billion and the outsourcing of ERP is growing at 11 per cent year on year, according to him.
“Standardised products are much in demand during the current economic situation as customisation increases the spend on IT by 20 to 30 per cent. Hence, we provide standard products catering to the needs of specific vertical,” said Ramesh Babu, head-enterprise solutions, Defiance. The company has a resource pool of around 2,000 persons.
