In the first ever global tender taken out by the Agra Development Authority (ADA) for consultancy on the development of its flagship multi-storey residential project ADA Heights, a Delhi-based real estate architecture planning company has beaten international competition by quoting the lowest consultancy charges among 22 companies contending for the prestigious housing project. |
According to Agra Development Authority Vice-Chairman Anurag Srivastava, Jaiswal & Associates, one of the earliest entrants in the race for this project, was awarded the consultancy contract for ADA Heights this week. |
He said that ADA Heights was the first multi-storey project being constructed by the ADA, with a clear view of the Taj Mahal from most of the apartments being the USP of this project. A global tender was called twice for the project after the first set of applicants failed to impress the ADA with the projects they had worked on. |
In all, ADA sources claimed, 22 consulting companies had applied for the contract including a few overseas firms, but the tender was finalized in the name of Jaiswal & Associates, which had filed the lowest bid of 2 percent consultancy fee while its nearest overseas competitor had proposed a fee of 3.5 percent. |
Due to this delay in the tender process, sources claimed, construction of the project was now expected to begin in March instead of February as hoped earlier as the name of the construction agency was yet to be finalized. The project was expected to take about two years to complete. |
Notably, Jaiswal & Associates has been active in the NCR, particularly Ghaziabad & Delhi, with a specialisation in designing multi-storey commercial and residential complexes including the Shipra Mall at Ghaziabad, but this is the company's first venture in Agra. |
