MFCL has not disclosed the stake bought by the investors. India Financial Inclusion Fund and Michael & Susan Dell Foundation were existing investors in the company while Unilazer is the new investor in the company.
"We bought a minority stake. We have been evaluating a lot of companies in this sector, in both listed and unlisted space. MHFC has a lot of potential, that is why we invested in this company," said Amit Banka, managing director, Unilazer Ventures.
"Agriculture, micro housing, education are some of the focus areas for us," Banka said.
