Deloitte & Touche Consulting India is looking at hiring 8,000 people over the next three to four years.
The company currently has around 12,000 employees in India.
Roopen Roy, managing director of the company, said, “We are looking at recruiting 8,000 more people in three to four years. We are also looking at opening new offices in India, from 13 offices currently.”
The company is also banking on its consulting business to grow its revenues. Currently, consulting business contributes one-third of the global business. Globally, Deloitte has posted revenues of over $26 billion.
“India is the third fastest growing market for us, growing at over 25 per cent last year.
With the acquisition of Bearing Point for $350 million recently, Deloitte expects to add $1.2 billion to its turnover by the end of the current fiscal,” added Roy.
Officials at the bankrupt management and consulting firm Bearing Point, which had 15,000 employees and operations in 60 countries, will assist in integrating its work with Deloitte’s government services group.
