There is good news for those missing WorldSpace as India, for the first time, has its very own round-the-clock music service that would air as many as ten genres of songs.
Den Networks would provide uninterrupted music and empower subscribers to hear what they want at a time chosen by them.
"India's first ever 24X7 music service is now available to all digital subscribers of Den in Karnataka, Surat, Kanpur, Baroda and Allahabad. This service ensures subscribers a smarter way to listen to back to back music of their choice from an extensive library of songs on their television sets," Den Digital President Vikas Bali said.
Going forward, Den will enhance the service by adding special genres during festivals and other occasions, creating more value-adds and services for subscribers through its EXCITE interactive feature.
The genres include new Bollywood hits to old classics and both new English songs and classics. Regional flavours like Kannada and Tamil content is also available.
Recently, FM radio stations had applied for multi-band channels under the same frequency to provide alternative music options for listeners. However, the subject is pending for government consideration.
WorldSpace radio discontinued its services in India as a consequence of filing global bankruptcy.
