Foreign fund house Deutsche Securities Mauritius today picked up 10.92 per cent stake in Vijay Mallya-led United Breweries for Rs 273.14 crore through open market transactions.
According to information available on the Bombay Stock Exchange, the foreign fund purchased 2.62 crore shares of United Breweries in two bulk deals at prices of Rs 107.50 and Rs 91.85 per share, respectively.
The consideration of the two deals aggregates to Rs 273.14 crore.
In a separate bulk deal, foreign fund DB International (Asia) offloaded 2.62 crore shares of United Breweries for Rs 273.14 crore.
As of December 2008, DB International (Asia) held 8.62 per cent stake in the spirits company.
Shares of United Breweries closed at Rs 109.70 on the BSE, up 9.65 per cent over its previous close.
