Standard Chartered Bank (Stanchart) has appointed Pavan Dhamija as chief executive officer (CEO) of Prime Financial India and head of consumer finance division. Prime Financial is the brand under which the bank conducts its consumer finance business and was launched in India in late 2005.Prior to the appointment, Dhamija was with GE Money, China, where he was operations director and part of the core team that built the GE consumer finance business.In his new role with Stanchart, Dhamija will lead the Prime Financial business to build a strong franchise in India as a leading provider of financial solutions with a broad product suite.
