Dhoot firm to set up amusement parks

 Revealing that DEN is in the process of signing up with a multinational company for this venture, Dhoot said the proposed amusement parks would have games, movies, food, shopping and theme-based entertainment, among others. Some of these parks would also have health-based activities including oxygen bars, health spas, etc.

 Dhoot, who was here to announce the foray of V1 Online Lottery - the lottery venture of DEN - into Kerala, said his company has appointed distributors to ensure the reach of its lottery to all the 14 districts of the state.

 According to Dhoot, the company has invested Rs 25 crore in the first phase and another Rs 25 crore has been earmarked for the second phase. The company is targeting total sales of lotteries worth Rs 500 crore for the first year through 4,500 retail outlets.

 Plans on the anvil also include setting up a 10,000 strong sales outlets across the country within the next three years. To become a retailer of DEN one has to invest Rs 1,49,000. Of this, Rs 10,000 would be taken at the time of application, Rs 49,000 on agreement & technical approval of locations and the balance on delivery of the terminal.

 This amount shall be taken as a deposit and earn nine per cent interest. Dhoot DEN has tied up with various public sector banks to offer loans of Rs 90,000 to each retailer, he added.

 Claiming that his company is breaking all geographical barriers by offering its products through VSATs, GPRS and Reliance CDMA network, Dhoot said,
