Dilip Modi, son of business tycoon Bhupendra Kumar Modi, is the new chairman of Spice Mobile. Spice group promoter BK Modi recently resigned as the director and chairman of the board of Spice Mobile.
The company has appointed Divya Modi, Vivek Bali, AVK Mohan, Parikshit Bhasin and Rajiv Sharma as additional directors.
B K Modi-owned Spice group has already sold 40.8 per cent stake in telecom venture Spice Communication to Aditya Birla group's Idea Cellular for Rs 2,716 crore. Idea has plans to merge Spice with itself.
Spice Mobile's share was trading at Rs 26.20, nearly 1.50 per cent down from Thursday's close.
