To commemorate the successful completion of 10 years in the country, Discovery Communications India is launching '10 Years of Discovery', a ten-day-long programming bonanza featuring 10 of the most successful and popular programmes aired on the channel in the last decade.

From the Emmy Award-winning special Raising the Mammoth to the Oscar-winning director James Cameroon's Expedition: Bismarck, Discovery proposes to bring to its viewers the most enthralling programmes presented by the channel as part of its 10th anniversary celebrations starting from October 10.

The programmes to be featured in the series include The Patiala Necklace, Cleopatra Palace, The Future is Wild, Inside the Space Station, Extreme Engineering, Blue Planet, Xtreme Martial Arts and Who Killed Julius Caesar?

Ever since its launch in India in 1995, Discovery has registered a double-digit growth in its subscribers base.

Today, the channel has a subscription of over 32 million households in the country.

"In fact, Indian content has been central to our growth strategy," Discovery corporate communications manager Rajiv Bakshi told newspersons here on Tuesday.
