Dlf Sells Mega Mall Space To Big Jo & #39;S For Rs 15 Crore

DLF has sold 31,000 square feet space to Big Jo's at DLF Mega Mall in Gurgaon for Rs 15 crore. The mall would be functional by 2003.

Big Jo's, which covers the lower and upper ground floors, will be the anchor for the DLF Mega Mall and shall attract customers from all parts of Delhi, DLF Universal Ltd managing director TC Goyal said.

"The concept behind the shopping mall is to provide a complete lifestyle with shopping and entertainment as integral parts. DLF Mega Mall shall fulfill our vision of making it the destination for complete shopping and entertainment not only for Gurgaon but also for Delhi," Goyal added.

Recently, the Dubai-based Lifestyle store chain had also tied up with DLF City Centre on Gurgaon-Mehrauli road.

The new shopping mall in DLF is aiming to become the most favoured destination for all shoppers with the biggest names in fashion, entertainment and eateries being present there, Goyal said.

The foundation stone for the mall, which would be a shopping cum entertainment complex in Phase I of DLF City, was laid in the second week of July 2001. The mall has been designed by Hafeez Contractor and will be developed at a cost of Rs 70 crores. The mall is located on the 60-meter wide sector road which branches out of NH-8.
