Dolphin Milk registered a turnover of Rs 32 crore in 2004-05 as compared to Rs 27 crore that it achieved in 2003-04. |

"In the fiscal ended March 31, 2005, our milk products' sales contributed only Rs 62 lakh to our total turnover. This fiscal, we are aiming at achieving at least a turnover of Rs 3 crore from our milk products' sales," Appa Rao said. |

In 2004-05, Dolphin Milk sold 1.5 lakh bottles of energy milk, 8 lakh cups of curd and 2 lakh packets of butter milk. The company is targeting to sell 2.7 lakh bottles of energy milk, 12 lakh cups of curd and 4.7 lakh packets of butter milk this fiscal. |

"We are planning to add ghee and paneer to our products' basket very shortly. For this, we have invested Rs 10 lakh in machinery. In addition to this, we are in talks with major super markets in the north coastal Andhra Pradesh to sell our milk products. Fifteen major super markets have already agreed to sell our products. Owing to these reasons, we expect a turnover of Rs 3 crore from milk products' sales this fiscal," Appa Rao said. Dolphin Milk currently has 200 exclusive outlets to sell its milk products. |
|
Currently, Dolphin is procuring milk from 650 villages. It is supplying around 17,000 litres of milk per day to Kolkata, Bhubaneswar and Jamshedpur markets. |
|
"Last year, our average milk procurement level increased to 60,000 litres per day as compared to 54,000 litres per day during the preceding year. In the current year, we plan to increase our procurement level to 75,000 litres per day," Appa Rao said. We are currently selling 13,000 litres of milk under the 'Dolphin' brand and 25,000 litres under the 'Vijaya' brand, he added. |
