Ahmedabad-based water management company, Doshion may acquire overseas firms in the near future, for which it is working out a strategy.

"We are looking at acquiring some companies overseas. We are working on it," said Ashit Doshi, managing director, Doshion. Though he did not reveal the countries in which the acquisitions were being considered, he made it clear that the neighbouring country was not among them.

Doshi said, "We will not necessarily be going geographically. Rather, we will see the strategic advantages, which we can get in fields like technology and markets." He added that the coming three to six months will see the acquisitions taking shape.

The Rs 220-crore company has its ongoing projects in Oman, Qatar, Vietnam and Indonesia.

All are turnkey projects. For the current fiscal, as per books, Doshion has an order value of Rs 250 crore.

"As demand is growing and industries are expanding, we see good growth opportunities. There are various projects in the pipeline. We are also eyeing Indian Oil Corporation's expansion projects at Panipat," Doshi said.

Recently, the company got a repeat order worth Rs 21 crore from Hindustan Zinc for a project coming up at Chittorgarh in Rajasthan.

The earlier order was worth Rs 40 crore.
