DQ Entertainment in broadcasting deal for animated TV series

Sells rights for Lanfeust Quest to Disney XD

DQ Entertainment (International) Limited, a Hyderabad-based animation, game art and entertainment company, today said that Lanfeust Quest, its 26-episode animated television series co-produced with French firm Gaumont Animation, has been acquired by Disney XD.

The rights acquired are for Turkey, Spain, Benelux, German-speaking Europe, Italy and central and eastern Europe, West Asia and Africa regions.

Lanfeust Quest was commissioned by French broadcaster M6 in September 2013. Directed by Antoine Charreyron (The Prodigies, Galactik Football fame) and Tarik Hamdine, Lanfeust Quest series follow the adventures of 14-year-old Lanfeust as he becomes the only hero in-charge of protecting Planet Troy.

DQ Entertainment's scrip is currently trading at Rs 23.85 on the BSE, up 2.36%, over the previous close of Rs 23.30 a share.
