Dr Lal Path Labs, which operates diagnostic centres, expects its revenues to grow by nearly 50% to touch Rs 350 crore in the current fiscal.
"We expect to grow nearly 50% in the current fiscal and hope to touch revenues in the range of Rs 300-350 crore from Rs 240 crore in FY 2010-11," Dr Lal Path Labs Chief Executive Officer Om Manchanda told PTI.
The company, which is aggressively pursuing growth in the domestic market, has been growing at around 35-40% in the last few years.
"We are aggressively pursuing both organic and inorganic routes for expansion and have earmarked a capital of Rs 150 crore for the purpose in the current fiscal," Manchanda said.
The company is looking to allocate Rs 100 crore for acquisitions and Rs 30 crore for organic growth in the current fiscal, Manchanda said.
A capital of nearly Rs 20 crore would also be utilised for various services including information technologies (IT) at the centres, he added.
The company is looking to add up to 15 centres though organic route and another 10-15 through acquisitions to take the total tally to 100 centres in the current fiscal.
"Apart from setting our own labs, we are also looking to acquire lots of labs in the southern and western parts of the country as our presence is limited there," Manchanda said.
The company, which recently acquired two centres at Cochin and Udaipur for Rs 12 crore, is eying cities like Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai to acquire new centres.
"We are in advanced talks with 2-3 firms," Manchanda said without giving any further details.
The company will fund the expansion process through internal accruals and debt, he added.
Dr Lal Path Labs, which operates Asia's largest diagnostics centre in the capital, runs 70 laboratories across the country.
Though the firm has an international presence, its focus currently remains on the domestic market.
"We continue to look at opportunities everywhere but with so much to do here (domestic market) international operations are not on priority at the moment," Manchanda said.
Dr Lal Path Labs has sample collection centres at various international locations including the West Asia and Nepal.
