Total income has decreased to Rs 140.80 crore from Rs 152.53 crore in the year-ago period. The board at its meeting held on January 29 has announced an interim dividend of 40 per cent on equity shares for 2004-05 and February 11, 2005 has been fixed at the record date. |

EIH Limited, a member of The Oberoi group today reported a profit of Rs 12.34 crore for the nine months ended December 31, 2004 compared with Rs 6 lakh for the same period in the previous year. |
The total income grew about 25 per cent from Rs 344.01 crore to Rs 428.14 crore during the nine months which ended December, 31 2004. The operating profit increased by over 101 per cent from Rs 56.94 crore to Rs 114.49 crore for the nine months ended December 31, 2004. |
Eicher net up 95% to Rs 20.3 cr |
Eicher Motors Ltd reported a 95 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 20.3 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal against Rs 10.4 crore in the year-ago period. |
Net sales during the October-December 2004 quarter grew 46 per cent to Rs 534 crore compared with Rs 366 crore in the corresponding period previous fiscal, an Eicher release said. |
Net profit for the first three quarters rose 147 per cent to Rs 36.27 crore over Rs 15 crore in April-December 2003. Net sales during the nine months in the current fiscal increased 47 per cent to Rs 1326 crore against Rs 900 crore in the same period of last fiscal. |
Herbertsons posts Rs 2.3 cr net loss |
Herbertsons Limited has posted a net loss of Rs 2.3 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2004 against a profit of Rs 92 lakh for the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal. Sales from operations has been stagnant at Rs 107 crore for this quarter. |
The company has stated that the unprecedented increase in the cost of principal raw materials has not been adequately matched by price increases on tender contracts. |
Hitachi Home back in the black |
Hitachi Home and Life Solutions (India) has come back into profit after posting a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 77 lakh in the quarter ended December 31, 2004 compared with a loss of Rs 6.25 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year. |
PAT for the first nine months of the current financial year stood at Rs 4.78 crore against a loss of Rs 10.20 crore for the corresponding period last year. |
"This year we have strategically focused on the most growing segment, which is high quality and technology conscious segment," said Rakesh Khanna, senior vice-president - sales, service and marketing. |
For the third quarter ended December 31, 2004, the sales turnover stood at Rs 40 crore compared with Rs 31 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. |
Sales turnover for the nine months ending December 31, 2004 was Rs 199 crore compared with Rs 182 crore in the corresponding period last year. |
