DSP Blackrock plans to regain its market share in equity funds and also increase its share in debt funds with market recovery.

“Our total equity AUM which includes domestic and offshore is around Rs 27,000 crore. We plan to regain our market share with market recovery to 7% which has come down to 4.5%, ” said Anup Maheshwari, Executive Vice President, Head Equities and Corporate Strategy, DSP BlackRock.

At present, it is tough to point out when will the market recover but there are hopes due to the formation of low base, added Maheshwari.

The company also plans to increase its marketshare in debt funds where it is currently managing Rs 25,000 crore funds.
Maheshwari added that despite the decline in markets it is not like 2008 and one of the major challenges would be profit growth of commodity companies and public sector banks.
