Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore dean of programmes Sourav Mukherji recently taught a course on inclusive business models that was beamed to students around the world. This was part of the Global Network for Advanced Management (GNAM), an association of management schools from all over the world, convened by Yale School of Management. Mukherji describes this as a unique experience. The course was a Small Network Online Course, or SNOC.

In contrast to Massive Open Online Courses, SNOCs enrol a select group of top-tier MBA students. Through SNOCs, groups of students from multiple schools collaborate virtually on team projects.
