Industrial solutions provider Eaton Corporation today said it had consolidated operations of its automotive and truck businesses in India into one unit.

"There are strong synergies that exist between truck and automotive, and combining these businesses in India allows us to maximise these advantages in the market place," Eaton Vehicle Group President (Asia Pacific Region) Howard Liu said in a statement.

The company has appointed the General Manager of its truck business in India, Krishnakumar Srinivasan, as the Managing Director of the consolidated unit. He will report to Liu, it added.

In his role, Srinivasan will have responsibility for both the automotive and truck product lines, including marketing, sales, business development, engineering, human resources, finance, supply chain and manufacturing.

"We can now accelerate a 'Power of One' approach in creating new systems and solutions for the market place and better cross sell our wide range of product offerings in commercial and passenger vehicles," Liu said.
