However, the company has its shareholders nod for raising $500 million through one of the options such as ADR, GDR, QIP, the company said today. The company plans to use the proceeds to fund smart class and ICT business segments.
It also has plans to use the proceeds towards investment in Educomp Infrastructure, Educomp School Managment for its K-12 initiatives and other subsidiaries for expansion of the company's operations, potential strategic acquisitions or joint ventures, both domestic and overseas, among other options.
The company's stock was trading at Rs 3885.10, down 1.91 per cent from Friday's close.
