Eicher has signed MoU with the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore and ITI Kuber Nagar, Ahmedabad for the establishment of the NIE-Eicher Knowledge centre and ITI Kuber Nagar– Eicher School of Excellence, respectively. According to the project roadmap, these training centres should be operational by September 2008.
Similar initiatives are being mapped for the northern and eastern belts of India said a release from the company.
The main objective of this collaboration is to provide an understanding of modern manufacturing techniques by familiarising the young trainees with the latest in automotive technology. Besides practically demonstrating the more scientific ways of repair, maintenance and overhaul of commercial vehicles, the training centres will focus on imparting education on the manufacturing management.
On successful completion of the training program, NIE – Eicher Knowledge centre will offer a PG Diploma in automobile engineering while the Ahmedabad based ITI –Eicher School of Excellence will offer a dual certification from the National Council of Vocational Training (NVCT) and Eicher.
