Hospitality major EIH, which owns and operates the Oberoi and Trident chain of hotels, reported a 33 per cent dip in net profit to Rs 22.3 crore for the quarter ended December, as the economic slowdown and travel advisories issued by several countries after th November 2008 terror attacks continue to harm business, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
Net sales dipped by 6.5 per cent to Rs 238.2 crore for the quarter against Rs 254.8 crore in the same period of the previous financial year. The net profit margin also came down to 9.37 per cent for the quarter, against 13.05 per cent for same quarter last year.
